What KIPS keeps, who can see it, and how to remove it. Last updated 22 October 2026.
What is stored
Your email and the name you chose, the photos you upload, the catalog images, cutouts, back images and 360° views made from them, the details of each piece, and your AI Credits activity.
For outfit photos, the photo of you is not added to your closet: it is kept only to make the pieces you pick and is marked for removal after 24 hours. Only crops of the garments are kept with your pieces.
If you turn on notifications, your phone's notification token is kept so we can tell you when your pieces are ready.
Usage records
To understand how the beta is used and fix what breaks, KIPS keeps a record of the steps your account takes in the app — for example signing in, starting onboarding, scanning a photo, creating, editing or removing a piece, and errors — and of each AI job: how long it took, whether it worked and its estimated cost. These records are linked to your account and include the app version, but never your photos, the details of your pieces, any text you type, your email or your device's identifiers. They are not shared with anyone or used for advertising. The developer can see the steps your account took, never your photos.
Usage records are kept for 180 days; cost records are kept for 400 days, separated from your account when you delete it. Server logs are kept for 14 days. Delete Account removes your usage records.
Who can see it
Only you. Every wardrobe is private to its account: the database and file storage only let your account read your rows and files, and images are shown through links that expire within an hour. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. The app's developer can see the steps your account took (usage records, above), never your photos.
AI processing
To find garments and make images, your photos are sent to Google's Gemini AI service. Background removal runs on our own server, not on an outside service. Only photograph people who agree to it.
Where it lives
Your account, wardrobe and files are kept in a Supabase project in the EU (Ireland). The app's server is operated by the app's developer.
Removing and deleting
Removing a piece takes it out of your closet; it can still be restored by the app's developer if you ask.
Delete Account (in the app's Account tab) permanently removes your account, every piece, every photo, your credits and your usage records.
